We are very pleased to announce the all new Repositioned Gallery in Glasgow’s west end will be playing host to Ewen and his TEENAGERS work for a solo show opening this Saturday 18 February.
The show will feature a selection of images from the TEENAGERS project, with some works that have previously toured at The Barbican, London, Tokyo City Opera House and Hereford Photo Festival ‘Exposure’ in 2001, Rencontres D’Arles in 2004 and more recently at the Musee d’Elysee in Lausanne Switzerland in 2008, and a number of never-before seen images from his varying forays into the world of teenagers across Britain in the late 90s and early 2000s.
From the horse’s mouth:
“Since the inception of Teenagers and the emergence of youth culture in Britain we have been becoming older sooner and staying younger longer. If I can observe any success in these pictures it is based on a common agenda an awareness that we have all been here and can possibly return to these roles again and again. They are unashamedly human moments.”

In addition to the opening party there will also be a book signing on Saturday 18, and a panel discussion on Sunday 19 hosted by Brian Sweeney (curator and director at Repositioned) with Andy Stark (head of Photography at Glasgow School of Art), Danny Hearn & Barry Mitchell (Perspectives online photography magazine), Ross Gilmore (Picture editor at Glasgow Herald Magazine), Michael Thomas Jones (Director and Curator at Repositioned Gallery) and of course Ewen!
