Back when the weather was much less offensive we got our sea legs on and headed down to the Thames to do an A/W fashion editorial for INTERSECTION MAGAZINE. That all seems very distant now, but as a reminder of the good times I am delighted to introduce our latest guest star blogger Shun Bellieni of Intersection. Take it away Shun!
A conversation among bearded men is a sight to behold, especially at the start of a long day’s work. Captured below is a pregnant pause, with Intersection Picture Editor Bjorn quietly pondering the meaning of life, art and relationships under the watchful eye of model Jerome Rebeiro (left, stroking beard).

Here’s our model Ed Hubert, head to toe in Hermès, doing what most people do while on photoshoots. In the backdrop is a famed body of water into which a few hundred tons of raw sewage are discharged up to 60 times a year.

Boots are in this season. Clearly.

Behind the racks of designer clothing, the yacht of a guy who allegedly was in town “to buy some art”. Within said yacht, we can imagine, further racks of designer clothing were likely to be found.

Here’s me, being worried for the state of British waterways, the length and texture of a pair of orange socks, and the rapid development of my builder’s tan.

Captain Spencer stares into the distance. He does run a tight ship.

Bjorn on the floating garden barge, displaying the early signs of a heat stroke.

Ewen and Jerome on the immaculately maintained garden barge, Ewen in fittingly nautical attire. Jerome in, erm, distressed tweed.

Intersection Fashion Assistant Francesca Fasan is a native of Venice. Which means she’s completely unfazed by the idea of spending a day on a precarious, man-made island. I mean, she kind of grew up on one. In addition, she does not suffer from motion sickness, and she knows how to drive a speedboat, but not a car. I reckon she must be a pretty good swimmer, too. (Bjorn is seen checking his phone in the background, as above)

Make-up artist Madge Foster took a break from her globetrotting with Kylie to come hang with us on bargetown and to make model Kirsten Varley look like a million dollars (pounds?) for the shoot.

Ewen’s assistant Elliott, seen here quietly assessing Madge’s work.

I must have had something scary crawling on my face.

Intersection Art Director Peter Stadden, doing the phone thing.

As night falls on Bargeville, Ewen grabs the last few shots of Kirsten and Ed playing backgammon, before heading back to his coastal HQ in Brighton. I don’t think he lives on a barge though.
